COVID-19 Elevating Hygiene Protocol

In Fito Aqua Blu, we’re taking robust measures to provide our valued guests and team members with the confidence and assurance that their health and safety is our first priority. We are making a number of noticeable additions to our already stringent cleaning and hygiene program, in order to set an even higher standard of safety within the new COVID-19 environment.

We do take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas at all times. In response to the Coronavirus, we have taken additional measures to reinforce hygiene and cleaning protocols in line with World Health Organization and National Health Organization guidelines. We ensure that all our team members have been thoroughly trained and briefed, while being constantly updated on the ongoing situation.

In compliance with all necessary legal requirements, and to protect everyone's health, all team members receive constant training in health protocols and procedures. The hotel team members will be provided with PPE (personal protective equipment). In addition, we will follow early detection protocols for COVID-19 for all our guests and team members. In case of suspected infection, the hotel will isolate the guest or team member, provide protective equipment to avoid transmitting the infection, contact local medical services and organize the transfer to a medical center if necessary.

General Measures Disinfection of Indoor Spaces

All indoor spaces thoroughly cleaned with a disinfectant, using certified products, with extra attention to frequented areas, including front desk and public restrooms.

Disinfection of All Surfaces

All surfaces thoroughly disinfected on a regular basis. Metallic surfaces and items such as door handles, keys and security locks disinfected with 70% alcohol, where bleach not appropriate.

Compliance with Health Authorities’ guidelines

Compliance with World Health Organization and Government Health Authorities, with “Health First” certification from the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels.

Social Distancing Rules

In common areas, to avoid crowds of people and contact between them, we’ll be marking the minimum distance required by local regulations. Furniture and spaces will be redesigned to comply with social distancing standards. In addition, hotel team will be trained to help guests always comply with these requirements.

Water Purification & Air Quality Protocols

Surface and handling areas will be kept extremely clean and air and water purification systems will be thoroughly controlled, reviewing, and reinforcing, among others, HVAC (Heat, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) protocols. We will increase the frequency of inspections as well as the control of water disinfection.

City Connection Advisory Service

The hotel team is trained to help guests locate hospital, medical centers and pharmacies, among others. They will also be able to recommend methods of transportation based on local sanitary criteria and regulations.

Medical Care

A doctor, certified on the dealing practices of COVID-19 is available on call 24/7.

Specific Measures Reception – Common Areas

  • Check-in at 15:00 and Check-out at 11:00 to guarantee enough time for a thorough cleaning and disinfection of the room. We will ensure that all guest keys are fully sanitized after every use.
  • Visible safety signage in place.
  • Comfortable and quick check-in and check-out procedure with safe distances & staff PPE -Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Sanitization stations will be in place at the reception.
  • Disinfection of all equipment such as room keys, POS, computers and ATM machines.

Intensive staff training on PPE use, frequent deep sanitization and change of equipment.

Rooms & Suites

  • Before each arrival, guest rooms will be disinfected, using certified products – an individual certificate of good and integrated application will be issued for this procedure.
  • Frequent water testing, rigorous A/C cleaning and disinfection upon every room change.

Food & Beverage

  • Robust HACCP certified kitchen protocols further enhanced and monitored on a daily basis.
  • We require our suppliers to have health certifications and a delivery process with strict control protocols.
  • Spacious restaurants and bar capacity (indoors & outdoors), ample for social distancing.
  • Guest hand sanitization stations located in all venues.
  • Single- menus to minimize physical contact.
  • Buffet style will be available - staff members wearing appropriate PPE will guide and assist guests to enjoy our usual vast variety and of a top quality culinary choices, ensuring minimum personal contact.

Leisure Areas

  • Maximum capacity according to available space of shopping center - queueing and appropriate social distancing measures are applied.
  • Safe distance will be kept between sunbeds & lounge chairs at the beach and pool areas. Disinfection of sunbeds after every use and increased water quality controls will take place.
